IDOMENEO & LA CLEMENZA DI TITO
This year, the festival opens with a Mozart Double Bill, conducted by Konrad Junghänel and directed by Uwe Eric Laufenberg. Two of Mozart's great operas, "Idomeneo" and "La Clemenza di Tito", are brought into relation with each other. The singers include Olesya Golovneva, Netta Or, Thomas Blondelle and Mirko Roschkowski.
The third Mozart opera of the festival is a gala performance of "Don Giovanni", with guests such as Ildebrando D’Arcangelo in the title role, Maria Bengtsson as Donna Anna and the young Italian soprano Federica Lombardi as Donna Elvira.
Gun-Brit Barkmin sings the title role in "Salome", alongside Thomas J. Mayer (Jochanaan) and Thomas Blondelle (Herodes).

A star-studded gala cast in "Madama Butterfly" adorns this May Festival's Italian programme, with Ermonela Jaho (currently Cio-Cio-San in New York, Paris, London, Madrid) and Italian star tenor Vincenzo Costanzo as Pinkerton.
UN BALLO IN MASCHERA
A number of well-known Verdi voices will grace the stage in "Un ballo in maschera": Uruguayan soprano Maria José Siri (Amelia), Italian tenor Stefano La Colla (Riccardo) and Ukrainian baritone Vitaliy Bilyy (Renato).TANNHÄUSER
Andreas Schager in the title role and Albert Pesendorfer (Landgraf) return to Wiesbaden for "Tannhäuser".
DIE MEISTERSINGER VON NÜRNBERG
The gala cast for "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" includes Michael Volle as Hans Sachs, Günther Groissböck (Pogner), Johannes Martin Kränzle (Beckmesser) and Daniel Behle (David).
French Verdi-baritone Ludovic Tézier sings the title role in Uwe Eric Laufenberg's new production, with Will Humburg on the podium.
