Born in Munich in 1986, Anna-Sophia Güther studied Dramaturgy with Klaus Zehelein, as well as Modern German Literature and Art History, at the Bavarian “August Everding” Theatre Academy and the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich until 2011. During her studies, she accepted numerous diverse production dramaturgy assignments at the Bavarian Theatre Academy and the Prinzregententheater in Munich, and also worked at the Münchner Kammerspiele, Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel, Schauspielhaus Hamburg and Salzburg Festival, among others. She worked as Assistant Dramaturg for the Heidelberg Theatre and Orchestra from 2011 to 2013 and was Dramaturg at the Schauspiel Essen in the 2013/2014 season, where she looked after the production “Der Prozess”, a piece which was invited to the 2014 NRW Theatre Festival. In addition, she received the Dramaturgy Society’s Conference Scholarship in 2013 and acted as Dramaturg at the Kaltstart Festival’s “Autorenlounge” in Hamburg in 2014. Anna-Sophia Güther has been working as Dramaturg within the State Theatre of Wiesbaden’s Drama department since the start of the 2014/2015 season.
