Sascha Kölzow

Dramaturg
Born in Hagen in 1982, Sascha Kölzow studied at the Berlin University of Arts and University of Seville (Spain) as the holder of a Cusanuswerk scholarship. During his studies, he was active within the advertising and theatre industry, performed in a horror film, and assisted at the Schauspielhaus Zurich and Schauspiel Essen. He worked as Dramaturgy Assistant at Schauspiel Essen from 2008 to 2010, where he took on the programming for the “Heldenbar” venue, organised urban projects and acquired his first production dramaturgy assignments. In 2010 he moved to Schauspielhaus Bochum with Artistic Director Anselm Weber, where he worked as Assistant Dramaturg (until 2012) and later as fully fledged Dramaturg with directors such as Anselm Weber, Jan Neumann, Nuran David Calis and Henner Kallmeyer, writers such as Lutz Hübner, Davide Carnevali and Laura Naumann, as well as developing numerous special and collaborative projects. Since the start of the 2014/2015 season, Sascha Kölzow has been Dramaturg within the Hessian State Theatre of Wiesbaden’s Drama department.
