Alessandra Volpe

Alessandra Volpe completed her musical studies at the Niccolò Piccini Conservatory in Bari, graduating in piano in 2003 and singing in 2005, both summa cum laude. She quickly established herself as a leading intepreter of bel canto roles, such as Adalgisa in "Norma", Giovanna Seymour in "Anna Bolena" and Romeo in "Capuleti e Montecchi". Notable Verdi roles include Amneris, Eboli, Fenera, Maddalena, as well as the Requiem, while her verismo repertoire includes roles such as Santuzza in "Cavalleria Rusticana", Principessa di Bouillon in "Adriana Lecouvreur", Tigrana in "Edgar", Poulenc's "La voix humane" and the title role in both Hindemith's "Sancta Susanna" and Marco Tutino's opera "La Ciociara". In addition, Alessandra is a sought-after Carmen.
