Holger Reinhardt

Born in Schwerin, Holger Reinhardt completed his conducting studies with Prof. Lutz Köhler at the Berlin University of the Arts in 2011.

Following engagements at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Bayreuth Festival (as maestro suggeritore), he worked as solo répétiteur with conducting duties at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar. Since then, Holger has been a regular guest at many renowned institutions, with guest engagements at the Oper Leipzig and Deutsche Oper Berlin, amongst others. In addition, he has been Musical Assistant at the Baden-Baden Easter Festival – most recently working on the 2024 production of "Elektra" with Kirill Petrenko – and the Bayreuth Festival, most recently working on the 2023 production of "Parsifal" with Pablo Heras-Casado and the 2022 "Lohengrin" with Christian Thielemann.

Holger Reinhardt has been engaged at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden since the 2019/20 season. Here, he has attracted attention with his house debut of Richard Strauss’ "Elektra" and subsequently conducted P. Tchaikovky's "The Queen of Spades", F. Lehár's "The Merry Widow", as well as the ballet "Timelessness".

Since 2023, he has held the position of Head of Music and Conductor.

This season, he conducted selected performances of "Lohengrin" and "Die lustige "Witwe", the revival production of "Hänsel und Gretel", as well as "Siegfried" and "Götterdämmerung“ in March / April 2024.
