Istvan Balota

Tenor Istvan Balota studied music education at the National Pedagogical University in Kiev, after which he continued his education in Germany as a scholarship holder of the Patrons' Association of Dr. Hoch's Conservatory. In 2018, he completed his studied in vocal pedagogy at the Wiesbaden Music Academy. Master classes with Rudolf Piernay, Thomas Heyer and Noelle Turner complement his training. During his studies, he performed in concerts and opera productions such as "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. He recently made his debut as the Servant ("Capriccio") and the Tutor ("Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg") as well as Zweifelhaftes Individuum ("Der ferne Klang") at the Frankfurt Opera and as one of the conspirators in Kurt Weill's "Der Zar lässt sich fotografieren".
