Mirko Roschkowski

Born in Dortmund, Mirko Roschkowski’s first engagements took him to Düsseldorf and Bonn (“Rusalka” and “Benvenuto Cellini”, amongst others), after which he guested at the Volksoper in Vienna, in Dresden, Berlin (Staatsoper and Komische Oper), Stuttgart, Cologne, Leipzig and Moerbisch. His repertoire includes Mozart roles such as Titus, Mitridate, Tamino (“Zauberflöte”), Belmonte (“Die Entführung aus dem Serail”), as well as Don José (“Carmen”), Hoffmann ("Tales of Hoffmann"), Faust (Gounod), Lenski (“Eugene Onegin”), the Prince (“The Love for Three Oranges”), as well as Alfredo ("La traviata"). Further key roles include Énée ("Les Troyens"), Max ("Der Freischütz"), Erik ("Der fliegende Holländer") and Sir Huon ("Oberon"). Previous appearances in Wiesbaden include Belmonte, Boris ("Katya Kabanova") and the title role in Achim Freyer's "Jephtha". This season, he returns to Wiesbaden to sing both title roles in the Mozart Double project "Idomeneo" and "La clemenza di Tito".
