Niklas Sikner

Niklas Sikner studied at the Heidelberg College of Church Music, passing his final examination there in the summer of 2016. He studied under Stefan Viegelahn, Bernd Stegmann, Eugen Polus, Gerhard Luchterhandt and Carola Keil, while courses with Jean-Claude Zehnder, Martin Sander and Peter Schreier rounded off his education.

In 2016/17, he attended a guest programme in vocal studies with Matthias Horn in Heidelberg, followed by a supplementary study programme in organ with a focus on early music with Tobias Lindner in Basel. During his studies, he conducted various choirs in the Rhine-Neckar region and worked as cantor at the Johanniskirche in Mannheim from 2017 to 2019.

Niklas Sikner was appointed as cantor at the Wiesbaden Lutheran Church in January 2020, where he directs the Wiesbaden Bach Choir as well as the Wiesbaden Chamber Choir, in addition to supervising the care of the church's two magnificent organs. He is also Director of the Wiesbaden Singing Academy.
