Petra Urban

Petra Urban has been a member of the Opera Chorus at the Wiesbaden State Theatre since 1989, during which time she has sung numerous solo roles in operas, musicals and operettas, including Confidante in "Elektra", Second Lady in Henze's "Prinz von Homburg", Zeitel in "Anatevka", Rosalia in "West Side Story", Barbara in Johann Strauss' "Eine Nacht in Venedig", Nebel in Carl Zeller's "Der Vogelhändler" and Marlene Dietrich in Pam Gem's "Piaf". Recently, she has sung Annina in "La Traviata". She was an award recipient of the Richard Wagner Foundation and is active as artistic director of the annual Bärenherz Gala. Since 2010, Petra Urban manages the office of the Opera Chorus at the Wiesbaden State Theatre.
