Sarah Jones

Sarah Jones was born in Tasmania and completed her music studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2005. In Australia, she has performed for Pinchgut Opera, Opera Australia, IHOS Opera and Pacific Opera, as well as with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. In 2012, she won the German-Australian Opera Grant and spent a year as ensemble member at the Wiesbaden State Theatre, where she has sung roles such as Esmeralda ("Die verkaufte Braut"), Valencienne ("Die Lustige Witwe"), Berta ("Der Barbier von Sevilla") and Amor (Gluck's "Orfeo ed Euridice"). In 2016, she sang Amor with Ensemble Mattiacis in "La Dafne" at the International May Festival. During the 2016/17 season, she performed Papagena in "Die Zauberflöte" and 2nd Niece in "Peter Grimes". She returns this season as Papagena in "Zauberflöte für Kinder".
