"A Dream of Pleasure and Joy" - a quote from Verdi's "Un ballo in maschera" - sets the scene for a star-studded Gala Concert on 14 February, offering an exciting glimpse into the 2018 International May Festival. Intendant Uwe Eric Laufenberg will present the exciting programme, while GMD Patrick Lange conducts the Hessian State Orchestra. The international cast includes Adina Aaron, Stefano La Colla, Thomas Blondelle, Christopher Bolduc, Sabina Cvilak, Olesya Golovneva, Ioan Hotea, Aleksei Isaev, Katharina Konradi, Ryan McKinny, Lance Ryan and Gloria Rehm. The programme includes works by Verdi, Wagner, Puccini and Strauss.
