How can you find your way in a world of “grown-ups”– if everything that happens there seems to be too colorful, too big and too interesting somehow? What needs to be discovered?

After the great success of her work Farbenspiele in Wiesbaden and Darmstadt, the Lithuanian choreographer Birutė Banevičiūtė will return to the Hessian State Ballet. In Labyrinth, children between three and six years of age are invited to experience what it means to playfully conquer the world that they live in on a daily basis.

Starting with objects from children’s daily life, she creates a maze together with two dancers: it is colorful and thoughtful, confusing and then suddenly fantastically simple. They find their way out, and it then becomes a big playground for everyone.
