Rouwen Huther

After receiving his musical education at the Wiesbaden Music Academy, the Karlsruhe College of Music and in master classes with Hilde Zadek, Julia Varady and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Rouwen Huther made his first appearances at the International May Festival in Wiesbaden and at the International Opera Academy in Bad Orb. This was followed by engagements at international opera houses and festivals, including the Staatstoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Oper Leipzig, Teatro San Carlo Napoli, Teatro Comunale Bolzano, Teatro Comunale Piacenza, Teatro di Dante Aligheri Ravenna, Teatro di Luciano Pavarotti Modena, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, the Vienna Festival, AUDI Summer Concerts in Ingolstadt, the International Music Festival in Classionata, and the Verbier Festival.

Previous roles in Wiesbaden include Balthasar Zorn in "Die Meistersingern von Nürnberg", First Jew in "Salome", High Priest in Mozart's "Idomeneo", Gingerbread Witch in "Hänsel und Gretel, Valzacchi in "Der Rosenkavalier" and Diafoirus in the play "Der eingebildete Kranke".
