Christopher Bolduc

Baritone
American baritone Christopher Bolduc studied in New York and Philadelphia, after which guest engagements took him to Cologne, Glyndebourne and Basel, where he sang Guglielmo (“Così fan tutte”), Count Almaviva (“Le nozze di Figaro”), and the Huntsman in Heinz Holliger’s “Snow White”. In Cologne, he appeared as Belcore (“L'elisir d'amore”), amongst other roles, and he made his Metropolitan Opera debut in the world premiere of Nico Muhly’s “Two Boys”. Previous roles in Wiesbaden include Marcello (“La bohème”), Figaro (“Il barbiere di Siviglia”), King's Herald (“Lohengrin”), Guglielmo, Sharpless ("Madama Butterfly") and Belcore. This season, he will sing the title role in "Eugene Onegin", Marcello in "La bohème" and Count Almaviva in "Le nozze di Figaro".

In the new production of "Die Zauberflöte", Christopher jumped in at short notice as Papageno after Benjamin Russell fell ill.
