Philipp Mayer

Philipp Mayer was born in Austria and initially studied classical percussion at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz. In 2010, he began his singing studies at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin, where he graduated with a Masters degree in 2017. In addition, he also completed contemporary dance training. In 2015, Philipp Mayer sang lead roles in the new opera "Unsichtbare Fronten“ (Robert Krampe) at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, in "Adriana" (Marc-Aurel Floros) at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, as well as Ben in Menotti's "The Telephone" with the Berlin Philharmonic. In 2016, he travelled to China as soloist with the Haydn Symphony Orchestra. In 2017, he sang the role of Zuniga in "Carmen" at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg. Following his Wiesbaden debut in 2017/18 as one of the 3 Men in Søren Nils Eichberg's new opera "Schönerland", he now returns to sing Fifth Jew in "Salome" and Hans Schwarz in "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg".
