In this production, Nikolaus Habjan and Franui Musicband trace the symbolic world of the mysterious wanderer through a fusion of music, text and puppetry. Both admired and despised, the wanderer leaves everything behind to set off on a journey without even knowing the destination; someone in search of meaning who, in Schubert's lied "comes from the mountains" and peeps out from amongst the lines of Robert Walser's works: "The heavens tell me I should find myself. Find myself? Would I not have to lose myself first?"
