Katja Leclerc

Katja Leclerc studied Theatre, Film and Media Studies, English Literature and Musicology in Frankfurt am Main and Aberystwyth (Wales), and was research assistant to Hans-Thies Lehmann in the Theatre Studies department of the Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. Already during her studies, she assisted with dramaturgy at Frankfurt Opera and held internships at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin, as well as at Centre Dramatique National de Normandie in France. From 2009 she was active as music theatre dramaturg at the Schwetzinger SWR Festspiele and presented introductory lectures at the Bayreuth Festival in both 2009 and 2010. From 2011 to 2012 she led the Hannover Youth Opera and worked as Dramaturg at the Hannover State Opera. She has been Dramaturg for Opera and Concerts at the Wiesbaden State Theatre since the start of the 2014/2015 season.
