Aleksei Isaev

Russian baritone Alexey Isaev was born in Tver and studied singing in Moscow, where he started working at Helikon Opera in 2011, singing roles as as "Eugene Onegin", Tomski and Jeletzki ("Pique Dame"), Count Almaviva ("Le nozze di Figaro"), Renato ("Un ballo in maschera"), Alfio ("Cavalleria rusticana"), Escamillo and Dancaïro ("Carmen"), Silvio ("Pagliacci") and Grjasnoj in "Die Zarenbraut". He was a finalist in the Bolshoi Opera Competition and has performed at festivals in Tolyatti and Estonia.

During the 2017/18 season, he made his role debut as Lord Enrico Ashton ("Lucia di Lammermoor") at the Semperoper in Dresen and made his house debut in Wiesbaden as Jago in "Otello". This season, he returns to the Wiesbaden stage as Count Luna in "Il trovatore",
