French baritone Ludovic Tézier studied in Marseille and Paris, after which he worked as part of the operatic ensemble at the opera houses of Lucerne and Lyon. In the meantime, he regularly performed on the major stages of the world, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Vienna State Opera, Opéra National de Paris, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, La Scala in Milan, the Liceu Barcelona, Théâtre Capitole in Toulouse, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Munich State Opera, as well as at the Salzburg, Bregenz and Glyndebourne Festivals. His repertoire includes titles roles in "Hamlet", "Eugene Onegin", "Don Giovanni", "Werther" (baritone version), "Rigoletto", "Macbeth", as well as roles such as Renato ("Un ballo in maschera"), Ford ("Falstaff"), Yeletsky ("Pique Dame"), Enrico ("Lucia di Lammermoor"), Germont ("La traviata"), Valentin ("Faust"), Chorèbe ("Les Troyens"), Wolfram ("Tannhäuser") and Marcello ("La Bohème"). This season, he graces the Wiesbaden stage as Rigoletto at the 2019 International May Festival.
