A man commits a murder of jealousy, because his wife takes a liking to a violinist, with whom she performs Beethoven's "Kreutzer Sonata". What might sound like a Sunday night TV thriller becomes one of the most psychologically loaded stories in world literature, shaped by the mighty pen of Leo Tolstoy. Star actor Sebastian Koch, known not only for his prize-winning performance in the Oscar-winning Hollywood film "The Lives of Others", brings the confessions of the first-person narrator in Tolstoy's novella vividly to life. The evening is musically enhanced by Erik Schumann and Anna Naretto who perform (of course!) Beethovens's "Kreutzer Sonata", Op. 47.
