Anton Bruckner Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major, WAB 105
Anton Bruckner's 5th Symphony is an exceptional work: due to it its enormous scale, Bruckner himself referred to it as the "Fantastic". The Catalan composer Xavier Montsalvatge sought to combine Baroque with modern music in his arrangement of the Chaconne from Bach's D minor Violin Partita. His rarely performed "Desintegració Morfològica de la Xacona de J. S. Bach" opens the 8th Symphony Concert under the baton of Johannes Klumpp.
