Albert Pesendorfer

Austrian bass Albert Pesendorfer studied in Linz and Vienna. He has held permanent engagements in Erfurt and Hannover, and has been an ensemble member at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin since 2012, where his repertoire includes pivotal roles like Prince Gremin (“Eugene Onegin”), Timur (“Turandot”), Sparafucile (“Rigoletto”), Orest (“Elektra”), King Marke (“Tristand und Isolde”), King Heinrich (“Lohengrin”) and Ochs (“Der Rosenkavalier”). He has guested in Munich, Cologne, Paris, at the Vienna Volksoper and the Bregenz Festival, amongst others. Previous appearances in Wiesbaden include Daland ("Der fliegende Holländer") at the International May Festival, as well as Hagen, Hunding and Fasolt in Wagner's Ring Cycle. This season, he returns as Landgraf in "Tannhäuser", Daland in "Der fliegende Holländer" and Hagen.
