The everlasting yearning for the "land where lemons grow" inspired the German poets to write the most beautiful poetic dreams, but it is also the origin of music and theatrical language. Three literary concerts by Vienna's Merlin Ensemble will show why we always end up going south and why Ingeborg Bachmann's poems always ring true: "I moved to the south, to the land of my birth...that's where I learned how to live". And in the music - ranging from Monteverdi to Morricone - this life explodes con brio!
