Visualised Music to "Der Ring des Nibelungen"

Visualisierte Musik zu »Der Ring des Nibelungen«

This season, the participants of the Music Theatre Lab’s “Visualised Music” production set themselves a greater challenge than ever before. The starting point of the evening is Richard Wagner’s colossal “Ring Cycle”, which provides a vehicle for re-examination from rather an unusual angle, namely via interaction between computer-controlled image sequences and live music. In doing so, the various elements of Wagner’s great Gesamtkunstwerk are significantly amplified within the realm of the Wartburg, with the building’s architecture and performance space acting both as scenery and vehicle for the action.
