Jonas Boy was born in Mainz, studied School Music and has been a member of Prof. Andreas Karasiak’s singing studio at the Mainz College of Music since 2013. He gained his first operatic experience in “The Little Sweep” (Britten) and “La finta giardiniera” (Mozart) during the “Singing Summer” programme at the Mainz College of Music. In 2013, as part of a project developed by the “Barock Vokal” excellence programme, he sang all six cantatas of Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio” and guested at the Schwetzinger Festival and Cologne Opera in 2014 (“Leucippo” by Hasse). This season, he sings the role of Armindo in Scarlatti’s “Gli equivoci nel sembiante” in Wiesbaden.
