Simon Bode is one of the most sought-after lyric tenors of his generation and is active on both the concert and opera stages of Europe. As a lied interpreter, the young tenor is a regular guest at renowned international festivals such as the Heidelberger Frühling, Kissinger Sommer, the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, Beethovenfest Bonn and the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Schleswig-Holstein. He made his debut at the Salzburg Festival in 2018. He made various celebrated song recital debuts at deSingel in Antwerp, at the Rheingau Music Festival, at the Pierre-Boulez Hall in Berlin and has performed regularly at London 'sWigmore Hall. He works closely with Igor Levit, Graham Johnson and Nicholas Rimmer, as well as the bayanist Elsbeth Moser. As a young member of the Frankfurt Opera ensemble, he was nominated several times as Young Singer of the Year in the annual Opernwelt Magazine survey. Guest appearances have taken him to the Norwegian National Opera Oslo, the Opéra National de Bordeaux, the Théatre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Theater Basel, the Bregenz Festival, the International Handel Festival in Göttingen and the Salzburg Festival. He has sung under Kent Nagano, Andrew Manze, Andrea Marcon, Constantinos Carydis, HK Gruber, Peter Eötvös, Sebastian Weigle and with renowned orchestras and ensembles such as the Vienna Philharmonic, the Ensemble Modern, the NDR Radiophilharmonie, the Munich Radio Orchestra and "Les talens lyriques". Simon Bode is an ensemble member of the Hannover State Opera. His broad repertoire ranges from Bach to modern works. He has performed in numerous world premieres, as well as in all of the major roles of his fach.  Simon Bode has won prizes in numerous national and international competitions and studied with Prof. Charlotte Lehmann in Hanover and Neil Semer in New York. In Wiesbaden he has already appeared as Ottavio in Mozart's "Don Giovanni". In the 2018.2019 season he sings Narraboth in the new production of Strauss' "Salome".
