Daniel Behle

Born in Hamburg, tenor Daniel Behle initially received vocal instruction his mother, the singer Renate Behle. His first engagement was at Staatstheater Oldenburg, where he sang Rinuccio in Uwe Eric Laufenberg's production of "Gianni Schicchi", amongst others. Next engagements took him to the Vienna Volksoper and the Frankfurt Oper. He has made a name for himself as excellent Mozart singer and lied interpreter, with numerous CD recordings to his name. He is a regular guest at the Vienna State Opera, as well as in Berlin, Munich, Stockholm, Geneva and Paris. After singing David in "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" at the 2017 and 2018 Bayreuth Festival, he now graces the Wiesbaden stage in the same role at the 2019 International May Festival.
