American soprano Elena O'Connor made her Tosca debut in 2016 at Union Avenue Oper in St. Louis, USA. She has sung Clytemnestra in Vittorio Gnecchi's opera "Cassandra" at Teatro Grattacielo in New York, as well as Musetta in "La Bohème" in a new production at Rochester Mercur Opera. She has won numerous awards, including prizes at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Palm Beach Opera International Vocal Competition and the Aspen Music Festival Vocal Concerto Competition. She has sung Musetta, Gilda ("Rigoletto") and Micaela ("Carmen") in Aspen and has appeared at the Cincinnati May Festival. In 2014, she went on an European tour with the Rochester Oratorio Society as soloist in Poulenc's "Gloria" and gave various recitals in Salzburg as prizewinner of the Schloss Leopoldskron Competition. She made her Wiesbaden debut as Tosca during the 2017/18 season, soon followed by performances as Aida at Theater Dortmund und Landestheater Detmold. She now returns to Wiesbaden to grace the stage in the 2019/20 season revival of "Tosca".
