Federica Lombardi

Italian soprano Federica Lombardi was born in Casena and studied singing at the Bruno Maderna Conservatory, as well as at the Liceo Musicale Angelo Masini in Forlì. She debuted as Donna Elvira ("Don Giovanni") in 2014 at Circuito Lirico Lombardo and later as Anna Bolena during the 2016/17 season, when she was a member of La Scala's Cantanti Lirici ensemble. Further engagements took her to Rome, the Salzburg Festival and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Her repertoire includes roles such as Musetta ("La Bohème"), Fiordiligi ("Così fan tutte") and Donna Anna ("Don Giovanni"). She sang Fiordiligi and Countess Almaviva ("Le nozze di Figaro") at the Bavarian State Opera, a role which she also sang at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. This season, she graces the stage as Donna Elvira at the 2019 International May Festival and will also perform the role at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in the same season.
