Stefano La Colla

As one of the most promising Italian tenors of his generation, Stefano La Colla studied at the Pietro Mascagni Conservatory in Livorno. He soon performed at all of the major Italian opera houses, including La Scala in Milan, Arena di Verona, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, as well as outside Italy at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Amsterdam Opera, Hamburg State Opera, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Oper Leipzig, Oper Frankfurt and the Baden-Baden Festival. His repertoire includes the most important Italian tenors roles, such as Radames ("Aida"), Alfredo ("La Traviata"), Pinkerton ("Madama Butterfly"), Cavaradossi ("Tosca"), Kalaf ("Turandot"), Turiddu ("Cavalleria rusticana") and Canio ("Pagliacci"). This season, he graces the Wiesbaden stage as Riccardo in "Un ballo in maschera" at the 2019 International May Festival.
