Der Froschkönig

The princess loses her precious golden ball in a pond. A frog offers to retrieve it, as long as he can accompany her to her castle in return. But, once the frog has retrieved the ball, the princess disappears without keeping up her part of the bargain. That evening, there is a knock at the door and the frog appears. Composer-musician Bernhard Gortheil sets the world famous Grimm fairy tale to music, arranged for string quartet and guitar. Uwe Kraus narrates the story.
