Cristina Pasaroiu

Born in Romania, Cristina Pasaroiu studied in Milan and Vienna. She was a member of the opera studio in Bologna, where she made her debut in Puccini's "La Rondine". She has won prizes at the Jaume Aragall competition in Barcelona, as well as the Neue Stimmen competition in Gütersloh. Her roles include (amongst others) Violetta ("La Traviata") in Frankfurt, Bucharest and Nizza, Desdemona ("Otello") in Frankfurt, the Governess ("Turn of the Screw") in Kassel, Rachel (Halévy's "La Juive") in Nizza, Fiordiligi ("Così fan tutte") in Gent and Antwerpen, Micaëla ("Carmen") in St. Gallen, as well as Mimì ("La Bohème") in Rome and St. Margarethen. Previous roles in Wiesbaden include Desdemona ("Otello"), Violetta ("La Traviata") and Fiordiligi ("Così fan tutte"), as well as the title role in "Manon" and Gilda in "Rigoletto". She returns to Wiesbaden in 2021/22 as Elisabetta di Valois in "Don Carlos", as well as Elettra in "Idomeneo".
