In 2023, Birger Radde made his debut as Wozzeck at the Vienna State Opera under the musical direction of Philippe Jordan. He previously performed this role successfully at the Opéra de Monte Carlo and the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Further engagements took him to the Teatro Maggio Musicale/Florence and the Opéra de Nice/France as Don Fernando in "Fidelio" under the musical direction of Zubin Mehta, to the Heidenheim Opera Festival and the theatres in Modena and Reggio Emilia/Italy as Wolfram von Eschenbach in "Tannhäuser", to the Wiesbaden May Festival as Don Giovanni and to the Felsenreitschule Salzburg as Faninal in "Der Rosenkavalier".

He recently made his debut as Jochanaan in "Salome" at the Janácek Theatre Brno. Further recent and upcoming engagements include Wolfram von Eschenbach at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, Falke in "Die Fledermaus" at the Teatro Bologna and Donner and Gunther in "Der Ring des Nibelungen" at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden. He makes his Bayreuth debut in 2024 in a new production of "Tristan und Isolde".

In 2020, Birger Radde was nominated as Singer of the Year in the Opernwelt Critics' Survey for his portrayal of Don Giovanni at the Theater Bremen. His broad operatic repertoire includes roles such as Renato in "Un ballo in maschera", Animal Tamer/Athlete in "Lulu", Enrico Ashton in "Lucia di Lammermoor", Conte di Almaviva in "Le nozze di Figaro", Tarquinius in "The Rape of Lucretia", Silvio in "I Pagliacci" and Frank/Fritz in "Die tote Stadt".
