Lena Haselmann

German-Norwegian mezzo-soprano Lena Haselmann was born in Heidelberg.
Guest engagements have taken her to Berlin's Staatsoper Unter den Linden, La Scala in Milan, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Gothenburg Opera, the Teatro Comunale Bologna, the Danish National Opera, Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Heidelberg Theatre, the Ravinia Festival in Chicago, the Kunstfest Weimar, the New Opera Days Ostrava, the Czech Republic and the Schwetzingen Festival. She has worked with conductors such as Helmuth Rilling, Christoph Eschenbach, Konrad Junghänel, Maxime Pascal and directors including Jürgen Flimm, Uwe Eric Laufenberg and Thaddeus Srassberge. She was a lecturer for singing at the Hochschule für Musik in Saar and currently teaches Classical singing at the Institute of Music at the Osnabrück University of Music. She also gives master classes at home and abroad, including on the subject of "Scandinavian Song".

Previous roles in Wiesbaden include Paquette in "Candide", Annius in "La Clemenza di Tito" and Shelley and Marshall Family in "Anna Nicole".
