Gustavo Quaresma

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Gustavo Quaresma studied in his city of birth, as well as São Paulo and Frankfurt. He was a member of the Cologne Opera Studio from 2010-2012. Guest engagements have taken him to Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the Leipzig Opera, Cologne Opera, Deutsche Oper am Rhein and St. Gallen Theatre, among others. Important roles include Duca ("Rigoletto"), Don Ramiro ("La Cenerentola"), Count Almaviva ("Il barbiere di Siviglia"), Ferrando ("Così fan tutte"), Don Ottavio ("Don Giovanni"), Tamino ("Die Zauberflöte"), Titus ("La clemenza di Tito") and Nemorino ("L'elisir d'amore"). In 2022 and 2023, he appeared in Wiesbaden as David ("Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg") and the Italian Singer ("Der Rosenkavalier"), among others. In the 2023.2024 season, he graces the Wiesbaden stage as Fenton ("Falstaff"), Pong ("Turandot"), Tamino ("Die Zauberflöte"), Walther von der Vogelweide ("Tannhäuser") and Cassio ("Otello").
