In the vein of Cervantes' classic, Salman Rushdie's new novel "Quichotte" tells the story of a lonely man: a pensioner, addicted to television, loses himself completely in the commercial world of shows and series - until he falls in love with the TV star Miss Salma R. He decides to embark on a quest to make the gorgeous hostess his wife. Almost always by his side: his son Sancho, whom he imagines in the passenger seat next to him. Together, father and son travel through Trump's America, in times of racism, opioid crisis and a population hopelessly flooded with stimuli...
