Soprano Donata Alexandra Koch studied at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin with Prof. Thomas Quasthoff and Prof. Renate Faltin, as well as in Paris with Prof. Valerie Guillorit at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse. She has received master classes from Julia Varady, Brigitte Fassbaender and Robert Dean Smith, amongst others, and currently works regularly with Prof. Regina Werner-Dietrich in Leipzig.

As a student, she gained stage experience with roles such as Amore in Monteverdi's "L'incoronazione di Poppea", Damoiselle in Debussy's "La Damoissele élue", Serpina in Pergolesi's "La serva padrona", Madame Poiretapée in Offenbach's "Mesdames de la halle" and as Euridice in Gluck's "Orfeo ed Euridice". In the summer of 2018, she was a prizewinner at the Kammeroper Schloß Rheinsberg and in 2019 made her role debut as Ida in "Die Fledermaus".

Appearances in Wiesbaden include the Voice from Heaven in "Don Carlo", Masha in "Pique Dame" and Nymph in "Rusalka".
