Magdalena Anna Hofmann

Polish-Austrian soprano Magdalena Anna Hofmann was born in Warsaw. She studied at the Vienna Conservatory and began her career as a mezzo-soprano, before later making her debut as soprano. Guest appearances include venues such as Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Theater an der Wien and the Bregenz Festival, among others. Important roles include Kundry ("Parsifal"), Senta ("Der fliegende Holländer"), Isolde ("Tristan und Isolde"), Sieglinde ("Die Walküre"), Gutrune ("Götterdämmerung"), Leonore ("Fidelio"), Marschallin ("Rosenkavalier") and the Foreign Princess ("Rusalka"). She has performed at Semperoper Dresden, Staatsoper Hannover, Theater Heidelberg, the Prague State Opera or the Teatro Communale di Bologna. She made her Wiesbaden debut as Isolde in Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde".
