Colombian tenor Pablo Martínez began his musical training at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and the Universidad Central de Bogotá with Maria Teresa Uribe, later continuing his studies with Eduard Giménez at the Conservatori del Liceu de Barcelona. He also attended master classes with Teresa Berganza, Javier Camarena, Celso Albelo, Giulio Zappa and Juan Diego Flórez, among others. As a member of the Tenerife Opera Studio, Martinez took on the role of Ernesto in a production of Donizetti's "Don Pasquale" in 2016. In 2017 he made his debut at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo (Colombia) as Fenton in Verdi's "Falstaff", and in 2018 for the first time as Ferrando in Mozart's "Così fan tutte" at Opera Na Zamku (Poland). In 2019 he made his debut at the Teatro Real in Madrid as Don Ramiro in Rossini's "La Cenerentola" and also sang Nemorino in Donizetti's "L'elisir d'amore" there. Martinez won second prize at the Ciudad de Logroño Singing Competition (2018) and was a finalist at the 38th Hans Gabor Belvedere International Singing Competition (2019).
