German-Russian soprano Anastasiya Taratorkina studied at the Murov College of Music, and subsequently with Prof. Olga Egudina at the Glinka Conservatory in Novosibirsk, and with Prof. Hendrikje Wangemann in Dresden. She has attended master classes with Elena Zaremba, Marie-Sophie Pollak, Julia Novikova, Dmitro Popov, Ursula Langmeier (voice) and Jolanta Nicolai.
She was awarded 1st Prize and Audience Prize at the 70th International ARD Music Competition in 2021, with further competition successes including the semifinals of the 2021 Belvedere Singing Competition, as well as the Laureates' Prize at the 47th Vocal Competition of Russian Music Conservatories in Saint Petersburg. She was also one of 10 finalists selected from across Russia for the 2019 Grand Opera Competition of the Moscow TV channel Rossjia Kultura.
Guest engagements have taken her to the Semperoper Dresden (Euridice in Monteverdi's "L'Orfeo"), the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg (Kuchtík in "Rusalka"), the Frauenkirche Dresden, Limburg Cathedral, as well as on a chamber music tour through Southern Germany. In addition, she has performed at the Meisterkonzerten in Homburg, the Mozart Festval in Würzburg, the Black Forest Music Fesival, as well as on Bavarian Radio. She has worked with conductors and directors such as Matthias Foremny, Alan Gilbert, Michael Güttler, Nikolaus Habjan, Albert Horne, Will Humburg, Konrad Junghänel, Wolfgang Katschner, Daniela Kerck, Johannes Klumpp, Uwe Eric Laufenberg and Radolsaw Szulc, and has performed with the BR Radio Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Musicum Basel, the Limburger Domsingknaben, the Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the Rheinische Philharmonie, and the Frauenkirche Dresden Ensemble.
Anastasiya Taratorkina has been engaged at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden since the 2022/23 season, with roles including Gilda ("Rigoletto"), Sophie ("Der Rosenkavalier"), Marzelline ("Fidelio"), Gretel ("Hänsel und Gretel"), Valencienne ("The Merry Widow") and Oryx (in the world premiere "Oryx and Crake").
