Silvia Hauer

Mezzo-soprano Silvia Hauer studied in Freiburg and in Vienna and won the Bundeswettbewerb für Gesang Berlin in 2011. She was a member of the opera studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, where she appeared as Annina ("La traviata") and in the world premiere of Jörg Widmann's "Babylon", among other roles. Since 2015, major roles in Wiesbaden include Dorabella ("Così fan tutte"), Orlofsky ("Die Fledermaus"), Hänsel ("Hänsel und Gretel"), Cherubino ("Le nozze di Figaro"), Sesto ("Titus"), Maddalena ("Rigoletto"), the title role in "Carmen" and Octavian ("Der Rosenkavalier"). Guest engagements have taken her to the Komische Oper in Berlin and to Oper Frankfurt as Maddalena.
