Theatre-whiz Nikolaus Habjan – puppeteer, director, actor and art whistler – remains an audience favourite at the International May Festival. This year, he returns to Wiesbaden with his latest solo offering which, actually, isn't a solo evening in the true sense of the word, since he is on stage with eleven extremely lively hand puppets! "Böhm" is a sensitive and entertaining portrait of one of the greatest conductors of the 20th century, Karl Böhm. The piece focuses on the contradicting nature of this great artist, who was also a devout National Socialist with strong links to the Nazi regime. "Böhm" has already enjoyed great success at the Vienna Burgtheater and Theater an der Wien.
