Thomas Maria Peters received the "Lore-Bronner" Performing Arts Prize in 1996, after completing his acting training in Munich. His formative experiences as a young actor include a production with the British performance theatre company FORCED ENTERTAINMENT. Engagements in Hagen and Ingolstadt followed. In Augsburg, he played Mephistopheles in Goethe's "Faust", the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Jesus Christ Superstar" and Schiller's "Don Carlos", and also directed productions such as "norway.today" or "Biografie. Ein Spiel" by Max Frisch, amongst others. From 2007 to 2012 he was a permanent ensemble member at the Munich Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz. There, his new production of the play "Orchesterprobe, Traviata, III. Akt" received the critics' award "AZ-Stern der Woche". During the 2012/13 season, he was a musical theatre lecturer at the August Everding Theatre Academy in Munich. He is a regular guest at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, with roles including Frosch in "Die Fledermaus" and Narrator in "Loriots Ring an einem Abend". Recently, he played Mackie Messer in Brecht's "Dreigroschenoper" at the Trier Theatre.

Previous productions in Wiesbaden include the plays "Casino" and "Wuhan – Die Verwandlung", as well as the opera "Babylon". This season, he graces the stage as Ben in a new production of Stephen Sondheim's musical "Follies.
