In the words of the Marschallin, "time is a strange thing". Richard Strauss's timeless comic opera "Der Rosenkavalier" is the second collaboration between the composer and the congenial author Hugo von Hofmannsthal. Nicolas Brieger directs Strauss's famous work. Karl-Heinz Lehner takes on the role of Baron Ochs, while Nicola Beller Carbone returns to the Wiesbaden stage as Marschallin- The other roles include Silvia Hauer as Octavian, Thomas de Vries as Faninal and Aleksandra Olzcyk as Sophie. GMD Patrick Lange conducts the Hessian State Orchestra.
