Jeff Martin

The American tenor Jeff Martin began his European career in Germany after studying in Princeton and Cincinnati. He has performed in numerous major opera houses and concert halls, such as the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, the Opéra de Lyon, the Bavarian State Opera, the Stuttgart State Opera and Semperoper Dresden. His broad repertoire ranges from Bach's passions to operas of the 20th and 21st centuries. In collaboration with conductors such as Kazushi Ono, Peter Rundel, Bernhard Kontarsky, Alejo Perez, Arthur Fagan, Friedemann Layer and John Nelson, Jeff Martin has worked on roles such as Mime and Loge ("Der Ring des Nibelungen"), David ("Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg"), Herod ("Salome"), Hauptmann ("Wozzeck") and the Evangelist in the St. Matthew Passion.
