Born in Austria, Daniela Fally was an actress and musical performer before studying opera in Vienna. She became an ensemble member at the Vienna State Opera in 2009, where she has since performed roles such as Zerbinetta (“Ariadne auf Naxos”), Sophie (“Der Rosenkavalier”) and Rosina (“Il barbiere di Siviglia”). She has guested at the Salzburg and Bregenz Festivals, at the Munich State Opera, Dresden’s Semperoper, and in China and Japan, amongst others. She made her debut at the Opéra Bastille in Paris in 2015 (as Zerbinetta). Previous appearances in Wiesbaden include Despina (“Così fan tutte”) at the International May Festival. This season, she will grace the stage at the 2020 International May Festival as Sophie in "Der Rosenkavalier".
