Katerina von Bennigsen

Soprano Katerina von Bennigsen grew up in Hamburg and studied singing at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre under Hanna Schwarz and Burkhard Kehring. During her studies, she performed at the Hamburg State Opera in "Der Kaiser von Atlantis" and in "Les Indes galantes", as well as at the Allee Theater Hamburg as the Queen of the Night in "Die Zauberflöte" and Adele in "Die Fledermaus". She was a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater Cottbus, where her roles included Ännchen in "Der Freischütz", Blonde in "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" and again Queen of the Night. Guest appearances include Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich and at the Theater Kiel, among others.She has been an ensemble member at the Semperoper in Dresden since 2019/20.
