Argentinean bass-baritone Matias Tosi studied in Buenos Aires and Munich. As a member of the Stuttgart State Opera, he sang roles such as Guglielmo (“Così fan tutte”) and Papageno (“Die Zauberflöte”), while pivotal Mozart and Verdi roles have taken him to Essen, Frankfurt, Cologne, Basel, Genua, Palermo, and the Bregenz, Salzburg, Savonlinna and Ravenna Festivals, amongst others. Previous appearances in Wiesbaden include Jago in "Otello", Marcello in “La bohème”, Scarpia in "Tosca", Peter Besenbinder in "Hänsel und Gretel", the Four Villains in "The Tales of Hoffmann", as well as Gunther in "Götterdämmerung". He returns to Wiesbaden in 2020/21 as Figaro in a new production of "Le nozze di Figaro".
