Marie Johannsen

Born in 1991, Marie Johannsen grew up in Stuttgart and studied Theatre, Film & Media Science at the University of Vienna. During and after her studies, she gained experience working with René Pollesch, She She Pop, Hofmann & Lindholm (Schauspiel Stuttgart), Nuran David Calis (Schauspiel Leipzig), Alexander Charim (Schauspielhaus Wien) and Stephan Bruckmeier (Volkstheater Wien, Hope Theatre Nairobi), amongst others. She worked as Dramaturgy Assistant and later as full-time Dramaturg at Landestheater Detmold from 2015 - 2018. During this time, she was jointly responsible for the organisation of the 2017 NRW Theatre Meeting and curated »Chapeau!«, as well as numerous other projects, formats and performances, such as the immersive series »In Residence«. During 2018, she was a scholarship holder of the Heidelberger Stückemarkt. During 2018/19, Marie Johannsen was engaged as Dramaturg and member of the management team during Reinar Ortmann's interim season at the Rheinisches Landestheater. She joined the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden at the beginning of the 2019/20 season.
