Berlin-based baritone Marek Reichert studied singing in Dresden and Leipzig, where he completed a diploma and concert performance examination. He attended master classes with Olaf Bär and Johan Botha. Following a permanent engagement at the Landestheater Coburg, where he was an ensemble member from 2006 - 2020, Reichert started working as a freelancer. He has appeared as guest at Oper Leipzig, Staatstheater Nürnberg, the Saarland State Theatre in Saarbrücken, the Linz State Theatre, the theatres in Wuppertal, Aachen, Regensburg, Hof and Nordhausen, as well as at the Heidenheim Opera Festival. Concert engagements have taken him to the Berlin Philharmonie, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf and the Frauenkirche in Dresden, among others.

In the summer of 2019 he took on the role of the Third Nobleman in "Lohengrin" at the Bayreuth Festival under the baton of Christian Thielemann. Roles during the 2021/22 season include Konrad Nachtigall in "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" and Henrik in "Maskerade" at the Leipzig Opera. This season, he graces the Wiesbaden stage as Surin in "Pique Dame" and Masetto in "Don Giovanni".
